Pets Guest – Pet Care Services Mobile App

Overview

Spaceberry undertook the design of Pets Guest, a groundbreaking pet services app that operates much like Airbnb but for beloved pets. The app’s core mission is to connect pet owners with local caregivers who provide exceptional care and treat pets like family.

The challenge

Pets Guest was conceived as a novel idea, unlike any existing competitors in the pet services market. At the project’s outset, there was a lack of established benchmarks. Therefore, Spaceberry initiated the project with an extensive competitor analysis, creating a detailed navigation map, developing mood boards, and crafting design mockups.

Our approach

• Comprehensive Research: Before diving into design and development, we conducted in-depth market research and competitor analysis to understand the nuances of the pet services industry and ensure Pets Guest would stand out.
• User-Centered Design: We focused on user-friendliness as a core principle. The app boasts a simple structure for easy navigation, ensuring a seamless user experience. Careful attention was given to every detail, making sure the app was intuitive and straightforward.

• Establishing a Brand Identity: We created a clear style guide with essential brand elements, including color palettes, fonts, and illustrations. This not only made the app visually appealing but also helped establish a recognizable brand identity in the pet services sector.

• Pet Profiles: Recognizing that pets are unique individuals, we allowed users to create detailed profiles for their pets, including behavioral traits and preferences. This feature enhances the matching process with caregivers, ensuring pets receive the care they need.

• Building Trust: Trust is paramount in the pet services industry. To instill confidence in users, we implemented a robust two-step verification process that includes ID scanning and a selfie. This verification system builds trust within the Pets Guest community.

• Unique Feature: To add a touch of uniqueness and joy to the app, our designer creatively used anime-inspired pet nicknames for user interactions. This creative touch resonates with pet owners who appreciate the playful spirit of the app.
